Virtual Home Staging Tutorial

Great news everyone! The RTV Virtual Stager is adding about 200 furniture items per month and currently has over 2,000 staging items in the library. Training blogs will be available weekly as well as webinar training.  We want YOU to experience the success that the virtual stager has given to 100’s of our photographers since its launch one year ago.

So you have logged on to the RTV virtual staging platform, but time is money and you want to make your first project look great. We are here to help with any questions from straightening/calibration positioning furniture downloading and pricing.

Once you log into the stager, on the bottom left you will see a “?.” Everybody using the virtual stager should have spent some time there. Click on the “Support” tab and you will see all the menus as the picture below shows.

If you need to know how to navigate the menu then “RTVStager Menu Structure” is for you.
Everyone should spend 30 minutes or so with “Getting Started.” The pictures can be clicked showing more detail in several areas:
1.    View and edit sample scenes
2.    Taking photographs
3.    Upload your photos
4.    Straighten and calibrate your photos
5.    Setup payment
6.    Create and edit scene for calibrated photograph
7.    Save and download your scene

Virtual House Staging

Showing the Tooltips is a great way to prompt the program to show you things such as how to move, rotate furniture or move pictures up and down.
You may have some questions that can be answered in the “FAQs” area. If you are stuck, please use the “Contact Us” tab and someone will get back to you – generally within an hour or two.

On the RTV virtual tour company webinar last week I went over pricing and it is very well covered here under the pricing tab. You will not be asked to use credits until you have straightened a picture and are ready to add furniture. You can remove watermarks by the picture, month or year by contacting us.

Staging Kitchens With The RTV Virtual Staging Software

Virtual Staged KitchenThis week’s virtual staging tip deals with treating vacant kitchens.

As a real estate virtual tour photographer, I will often make suggestions prior to the shoot to the home owner or agent. For kitchens I suggest removing towels, most small appliances, knives and replace with contrasting colorful fruit. A bowl of fruits and vegetables can look great! Like many photographers, I provide a staging list prior to the shoot.

For the best look, virtually stage the way you normally recommend staging to agents or home owners.

Many photographers don’t touch staging in a house but for those of you that rearrange kitchens how do you handle staging? Often 5 minutes of minimizing in a kitchen makes a huge difference. Some agents keep a few staging supplies in their car such as fruit bowls.

Virtually stage primary rooms for a polished look: living, dining, master, bedrooms, kitchens and outdoor areas. The RTV stager has added several fires available for fireplaces that may give an extra pop. Generally, after I stage a living area I like to take 5 minutes in Photoshop to add a fire and TV image.

The RTV Virtual Stager now has over 2,000 staging items in the library, Look under kitchens to find perfect staging items. If you have issues with getting items to sit properly on counters you can use the re-calibrate button and change the ceiling height. Training blogs will be available weekly as well as webinar training. There is also help and training directly on the RTV staging platform. Just visit the “?” for helpful tips.

Loads of New Furniture Added to RTV Virtual Staging Software

The delivery truck has arrived and RTV's Do-It-Yourself virtual house staging just got a very nice overhaul with a full load of new digitized furniture for you to use to "Virtually Stage" your rooms! DIY virtual staging technology is gaining traction in the real estate industry as broker’s look to technology to win listings. Furniture companies are beginning to make 3D samples on their sites. They generally show 3-4 views of a piece of furniture. Companies that have the software to sample and  complete the views can create a true 3D piece that can be rotated 360 degrees. Then lighting and shadows are added to give the furniture a realistic look.

What remains is the need for a platform that can straighten, calibrate rooms, position and rotate furniture within a picture. All this technical background on how virtual staging is just to give you a glimpse behind the scenes. Until recently the 3D models available on-line were limited sometimes to unrealistic looking furniture. That is all about to change!

Here at RTV, we will be adding 100’s of pieces of new digitized furniture over the next months to our powerful virtual staging software platform. We have already released many new pieces this week in several categories. Please let us know if there are specific categories or styles of furniture pieces that you would like to have added. As we are able to locate them from 3D online stores we will be adding them to the RTV Stager.

For those of you that don't have your virtual staging account opened up yet, or if you have not visited the site in awhile please take a moment now to check it out today!
