SEO & Social Media

So you are confused about SEO and social media.  Take a minute and think about how long they have been around, or at least how long you’ve know about it.  Sure they have been around a lot longer than you realize but why didn’t you know about them, after all social media is all about getting the word out. Getting everyone to know or share what you know or at least want to share what you have to say.  Has it worked for you that way?  What way does it work for you?

Have you asked that question?  The answer is out there all you have to do is look, search and you will find some kind of answer that makes you discover that it’s not all that easy after all.  You dance around all the links to find some kind of information, you attend webinars and watch YouTube videos with more confusion.

How many times have you been told that Google has changed its way of SEO?  How many times have you tried to get your name or virtual tour business on page one of Google search?  After all you have all the accounts needed to write blogs and post information about your tour business.  You have all the right stuff, or do you?  How do you really know for sure?  What do you do? How much are you willing to pay for SEO? Who do you call?

I don’t have the answers, I’m like you..  I write blogs, post on Facebook, Google+, Linkedin and Twitter but I’m not on the first page of the Google search.  Does it matter that no one is following you on your blogs?  How many friends do you have in Facebook?  Does the number of friends matter when it comes to SEO?

Here is what I’ve come up with but don’t hold me to anything.  I’m a novice and only want to take virtual tour photographs of real estate, cars, bikes, people, trees, and things that are pleasing to the eye.

SEO is a game you play, one that you have to enjoy playing or you will lose the game.  Facebook is a place to drop content into, it needs to be interesting and targeted to your business audience.  Blogs are like writing in Facebook, make it somewhat interesting and targeted.  After all who really cares what you say?  Who is your audience and why would anyone want to read what you have to say?  It’s a game isn’t it?  Who are you going to call?

Think about all of this then let me know what you are doing with your SEO and blogs as well as how you use Facebook.  I’ll share your thoughts with everyone I know and possibly they will share with everyone they know.  When we get done we might have some SEO going.  Just think about it, how wonderful it would be if everyone we know shared our blogs and then it got shared again.
