Never Stop Learning

It is easy to get caught up in the day in and day out of life. Paying the bills demands so much of our time and energy, that we begin to set aside our own professional and personal growth.

Most of the professional photographers I know, and believe me I know a lot of them, picked up a camera as a hobby first. I have seen it a thousand times, it is like they have a new love relationship. They pine for their camera when they aren’t shooting. They voraciously seek out tips and new techniques as they seek to master their new love. They begin to dream of how great would be to be able to make a living with their camera, so they begin to advertise their new business to family and friends.

If these folks are lucky enough to be able to drum up enough business to continue to work as a pro photographer, they realize how much work the profession really is. Don’t get me wrong it is certainly fun, but it is a lot of work. From the day to day client communication and scheduling, to shooting and don’t forget the hours of post processing! That doesn’t leave much time for learning and growing as an artist.

To complicate matters further the photographer must have confidence in themselves to present themselves as an expert in the field, and inspire confidence of potential clients. Very few of these photographers have attended college or a trade school for photography, so their growth as an artist and expertise is solely dependent on their drive to learn.

Learning opportunities is one of the many benefits of partnering with RTV virtual tour company & professional photography service. We host webinars to help photographers to continue to grow both in their craft as well as marketing their businesses. As a member you also have access to a library of past webinars to refer back to at your convenience. Do you have an area  you would like to know more about? Find us on Twitter, Facebook, or Google +. We have several professional photographers on our in house staff that would love to connect with you and answer any questions you may have.

If you are a photographer looking for a new avenue for income, or simply looking to start your own business, consider our proprietary virtual tour software. We provide the training and equipment to get you started quickly and with out hassle. Island Digital Images Rocking TxT Connect Mobile Marketing

As a leader in the greater Corpus Christi area real estate market you have either started to use IDI TxT Connect as an integral part of your marketing plan or you will be signing up for the program in the near future.

As you are no doubt aware IDI TxT Connect is both an inexpensive marketing tool, (as low as $2.95 per month per property), and one that allows you to join in the expediential growth of mobile marketing.  As always if you have any questions on this or any other Island Digital Images virtual tours or property marketing products just let us know.

Some of the new features and benefits of the IDI TxT Connect product include:
“Lots” Added as a New Category
Within real estate, we now have Homes, Rental Properties, Commercial Properties and Lots.

“Text Business Card” Added as a New Category
Why not use one of your keywords for a Text Business Card! ie: Text Alan to 43766 for my contact details sent to your phone!

Agent Photo Upload
Your photo is now displayed in the new mobile website design!

Virtual Tour/Video Upload Link
You can now upload a video or provide buyers with a video URL link such as YouTube. This is another great use for the video version of your virtual tour. This video is included with our Turbo Media Exposure option.

MLS Auto Fill
Simply enter the MLS number and click auto fill. All of the property details, extra description and up to 10 photos are automatically populated into the listing fields. The more detailed property description and photos will appear on the mobile site. This is now a one step process! (keep an eye on this process to make sure it is your listing that is uploaded, if there is more than one listing in Realtor.com within the state of Texas it may select the wrong property. If the wrong property is selected just add your information and photos manually)

New Mobile Website (WAP)
For those with a mobile data plan that can access the internet, we have re-designed our mobile website design. Our new design takes a buyer directly to the photos as the landing page, they can access a map of the listing, click on a video or virtual tour if uploaded, see the agent and their photo, “click to SMS” (or call or email) the agent, etc.

Mapping Feature
Buyers can now click an icon in the mobile site to see the property on a map!

Photo Upload Enhancement
Photo size is now larger (4MB) and you can see the upload progress and photo itself after each photo upload.

Opt-In For Price Updates Through Mobile Site/Listing
Buyers are all looking for an edge! Now they can simply click a button if viewing the listing on their mobile phone and enter their number to “opt-in” to receive SMS broadcasts for property listing info and updates. Remember, we also make it easy for any buyer to also opt-in simply by replying YES to the second text message they receive.

Stats
You can now view a number of various stats on your property listing and filter by date.

Good luck out there with TxT Connect Everyone!

Add Your Virtual Tour Blog to Your Website

If you want to increase visibility and awareness of your virtual tour blog, here is an easy task you can perform to get your virtual tour blog on your website. Having your blog RSS feed coming into your website does not require a lot of experience, nor does it require a lot of time. Once implemented, each new blog post will be automatically posted to your website.

Adding Blog RSS Feed to Your Website

There are tons of sources out there that offer information on adding RSS to your site. After a little research, I was able to find a simple RSS service that is free and can be done in minutes. This service also provides an upgrade version to add multiple RSS feed sources into one single RSS feed. One of the reasons I like RSS include is it has an easy to use management interface that lets you customize your feed layout and the length of the feed excerpts.

Go to RSS include –http://www.rssinclude.com, and create your free account. Once your account has been created, create your new feed by simply going to your blog, look for the orange RSS symbol on your browser toolbar and click. Make sure that the feed you are viewing is an RSS feed, i.e., the feed address should look something like this- http://interactivemediablog.e-toursonline.com/rss.aspx.

Notice the RSS in the feed address? Copy the address from your browser and paste it into the RSS ‘include input feed’ section. Your feed can be previewed in a side window at the right to show you exactly how it will look on your website. The code can be generated for Java script, PHP or WordPress. Once you are satisfied with your design and layout, simply generate the code and place it where you want the RSS feed to appear. Of course you do have to have access to your website to modify and place the code. I would highly recommend putting your blog feed on your home page. Publish your website updates. Great! You now have an RSS feed on your home page. Each time you make a new blog post your home page will be updated with fresh content.

Some final food for thought:

Whenever you do publish a blog I highly recommend that you submit your blog to the RTV Blog here http://www.virtualtourprovider.com by sending RTV an email of your blog post. RTV will then link that blog back to your website using geographical keywords that are relevant to your services such as Tampa Virtual Tours. See how easy that is!!??

Also try posting your blog on other sites recommended in the RTV Social Ignition course! If you’re an RTV provider and have not taken this yet WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??? Sign into your marketing control panel and get that going now!
