Remote Host Tour Policies

1. Remote Host Tour Overview

RTV offers two methods for hosting virtual tours built by RTV Dealers. In most cases, the Dealer will create the virtual tour and then upload the completed tour through the Tour Management System to servers maintained by RTV. These completed tours are assigned a URL (Uniform Resource Locator) which when typed into a web browser, will locate and open the tour on the RTV servers.

The second method gives the option for the Dealer to host their tour on a server of the Dealers or customer’s choosing (Remote Hosted Tour). Once the Dealer has created and successfully uploaded the tour to the RTV servers through the Tour Management System, the Dealer has the option to request a Remote Hosted Tour.

Once a Remote Hosted Tour has been requested through the Tour Management System, RTV will send a ZIP file containing a set of files for installation on the remote server. These files will allow the Dealer or customer to host a virtual tour with limited features on a server (Remote Hosted Tour) of their choice. These files come in a variety of format options:

  1. Platform Independent + HTML
  2. Windows NT / 2000 + ASP
  3. Windows NT / 2000 + CFM (Cold Fusion)
  4. Windows Server 2003 + ASP
  5. Windows Server 2003 + CFM (Cold Fusion)
  6. LINUX / UNIX + HTML

2. Technical Support Policy

The supplied .ZIP file contains a README file with basic instructions for installing the tour files onto the remote host/server. Should a RTV Dealer or customer need additional technical support to develop the necessary infrastructure to successful upload the -.ZIP files for remote hosting the tour, RTV shall provide commercially reasonable technical support to Dealer or customer via email or telephone for a fee. The fee associated with this service is forth below.

3. Fees

If a Dealer or customer chooses the Remote Host method, an additional tour credit (a total of two (2) tour credits) will be deducted from the customer’s account. The first tour credit is for creating and uploading the original tour and the second tour credit is for the reformatting of this tour and exporting the -.ZIP file to the Dealer or customer.

The charge for Technical Support shall be $60.00 per hour. Unused minutes of a paid hour shall be nonrefundable. Payment for the first hour of technical support must be made in advance and in a manner set forth in the Billing Policy.
